Maxine Kaufman-Lacusta, a Quaker Jewish activist and writer from Burnaby, B.C., Canada will be in Houston to speak and do a presentation on nonviolence in Palestine. The January 20 Coalition is organizing a march and rally to protest the inauguration of Trump on Friday January 20, 1-4 pm. We will assemble on the sidewalk at 900 Smith St., next to Hermann Square, at 1 pm. Houston, TX – (February 13, 2017) – Most years, this weekend would be dedicated to the power of the President. This year on Sunday, February 19, “We the People Connect the Dots” march against tyranny and ongoing attacks on social justice and civil rights.
