How to become a member

HPJC Application for Organization Membership

Organizations may apply for membership by completing the application below. Upon receipt of the application, membership is subject to the board of directors’ determination of eligibility and payment of dues thereafter. 

The obligations of members are to allow their names to be listed in HPJC literature, appoint a representative to the Board of Directors, and pay $25 annual dues. Board representatives are expected to attend the quarterly Board meetings and to serve as liaisons between HPJC and their institutions/organizations. Applicants must be committed to nonviolence in their advocacy and activities.

HPJC Individual Membership - (Pay Dues Online through PayPal)

Individuals may join the Houston Peace and Justice Center if they meet the nonviolence criteria applicable to group members and pay dues as set by the board of directors.  By joining, individuals

  • endorse and support HPJC’s service to Houston’s communities of conscience, and help shape its future.
  • receive a membership card printed with a personal pledge of nonviolence, thereby helping deepen their personal commitment to practice nonviolence in personal and public life.
